Over the weekend of July 15th, Heritage Fiat participated in the 30th Annual Artscape festival held in downtown Baltimore. Artscape is America’s largest free arts festival. There are continuous musical performances by local, regional and national talent on four outdoor stages, indoor and outdoor visual arts exhibitions, film, theater, the Artists’ Market with crafts and works of art for sale, opera, dance, fashion, street theater and interactive children’s activities.
At our Fiat tent, festival goers were invited to enter our “Italian Inspired Doodle Contest.” Contestants would receive a number and a marker and were then invited to draw their doodle on our Fiat! Each doodle and their number were posted on our Facebook page for fans to vote on their favorite. The doodle with the most votes wins an Italian Gift Basket valued at over $500!
Thank you to all of our fans that stopped by and participated in our contest!
After weeks of selling raffle tickets for the Fiat 500, the build up had reached the exciting day at last. The winner was finally drawn last Friday June 17th, 2011 at Goucher College’s Relay for Life event. MileOne was on hand with the car on display, selling last minute tickets and handing out information about the car. There was even a mini corn-hole tournament! As part of the opening ceremonies, a survivor shared her moving story of survival. MileOne then spoke about their support of ACS and that we were moments away from raffling off a Fiat 500. The cancer survivor then drew the winning ticket out of hundreds piled in the trunk of the Fiat. Congratulations to Edith Sue Lawson-Smith who was the grand prize winner!!! MileOne was able to raise $61,000 from the ticket sales where 100% of proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.
