The all-new 2015 Acura TLX Prototype – Liberating Agility
Debuting at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype was certainly an eye turner sporting a “Red Carpet Athlete” design. The TLX is a hybrid of the sporty TL and the mid-size sedan TSX. The new Acura TLX also includes many of the popular features that set the Acura RL apart from the competition including the signature Jewel Eye LED headlights and a whopping set of 20-inch alloy wheels.
The 2015 TLX Prototype is a technological overhaul for Acura. Dropping both the TL and TSX from their current line, the TLX gives Acura a new slate to implement innovative technologies into their new car. A few features that stand out include the Integrated Dynamic System (IDS) and the car’s four distinct driving modes: Economy, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. Depending on the mode selected, the TLX’s Integrated Dynamic System adjusts the steering, throttle response, transmission, and even the noise level in the cabin.
Why I love the TLX Prototype: from first look, Acura’s bold colored “Red Carpet Athlete” design makes it stand out. Secondly, the four driving modes allow the car to be an everyday driver and a sports car all-in-one. Most notably is the available 3.5-liter V6 and 9-speed transmission. Finally, the TLX’s Precision All Wheel Steer (P-AWS), which compliments the power of the car and allows it to easily hug turns at fast speeds.
Sportier than the previous TL and the TSX models, the TLX is a technologically pleasing car that will fit perfectly into Acura’s new line up. The 2015 Acura TLX is scheduled to release in mid-2014 so be on the lookout at MileOne.com for this groundbreaking car.
